The Young Manufacturers Academy (YMA) Introduces students to high-demand careers in advance manufacturing throught hands-on experiences, industry engagement, and cutting-edge technology.

YMA is  open to students entering 7th - 10th grade in the Fall 2026 who are interested in exploring careers in manufacturing.

Young Manufacturers Academy

• Learn about ASUMH’s Technical Center's capability including Mechatronics, Automotive, Welding, and Boat Building Programs.
• Explore how modern manufacturing offers exciting career opportunities for all students, including young women.
• Gain exposure to industry tools and software including Computer-aided Design (CAD) & 3D Printing.
• Hear directly from industry and education partners about career and training pathways. 
• Identify the skills needed to succeed in advanced manufacturing careers.
• Engage in hands-on manufacturing activities.
• Tour two manufacturing facilities.
• Lunch and snacks are provided daily.
• PROGRAM DETAILS:
• Limited to 20 students entering grades 7 -10 in (Fall 2026).
• Dates: June 1-4, 2026.
• Locatione: ASUMH Technical Center, 4034 Hwy 62 W., Mountain Home AR 72653.
• Parents are responsible for dropping students off by 8:00 am and Picking them up at 4:00 pm.
